The Centre for Geopolitics presents a thought-provoking panel on the results of Taiwan’s national elections. The elections will take place on January 13 and will kick off a year of several important elections in the Indo-Pacific. In addition, the elections could determine Taiwan’s foreign policy from its strategic ties to the U.S. to its posturing vis-a-vis Mainland China.

Our panelists will discuss the elections, providing insights into what voters chose and why. Insights will include how these elections may shape the narrative of Taiwan, and also the region, for years to come.

Panelists will include:

Dr. Chun-Yi Lee, Associate Professor and Director of Taiwan Studies Program, University of Nottingham

Dr. Jonathan Sullivan, Associate Professor and Director of the China Policy Institute, University of Nottingham

Dr. Hans Tung, Professor and Faculty Associate at the Behavioral and Data Science Research Center, National Taiwan University
