Karri Aston
Centre Coordinator

Karri joined the Centre in September 2019 as a part-time administrator, and became Centre Coordinator in July 2020. She has a background in the charity sector. She is primarily responsible for supervising the Ax:son Johnson Research Assistants, managing the financial and administrative processes, and facilitating strategic planning. She acts as Secretariat for the Management Committee and the International Advisory Board. Her working hours are Monday - Thursday 9am-3pm.

Deputy Administrator

Michelle joined the Centre in November 2020 as a part-time administrator, and provides support on communications, events, and finances.  She has a background in coordinating projects and events across a range of industries including publishing, exhibitions, and higher education.  Her working hours are 10am to 2pm Monday and Wednesday.

Research Associate, Department of Politics & International Studies (POLIS)

Thomas Peak is a Research Associate at the Department of Politics and International Studies, based at the Centre of Geopolitics. His forthcoming book 'Westphalia from Below: Humanitarian Intervention & the Myth of 1648' will be published by Hurst & Co. in the summer. His primary research and teaching interests cover protection of civilians and the ethics and practice of international intervention, international history with a focus on sovereignty and international politics in Early Modern Europe, and international relations theory. He holds a BA in History from Queen Mary University, an MSt in Modern British & European History from Oxford University, and a PhD in International Relations from the Central European University.
