Ha Chae Kyoun (CK) is a PhD candidate investigating the Cold War history in East Asia, particularly focusing on the relationships between Korea, Japan and Southeast Asian countries. His broader research interests include security and international relations of the Indo-Pacific region, with particular interest in ASEAN, Australia, Japan, and the Korean Peninsula.

CK previously worked at the ASEAN-Korea Centre and the Asan Institute for Policy Studies, both based in Seoul, and served as a KF Indo-Pacific Visiting Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute. CK holds degrees from the Australian National University (BIR) and the University of Cambridge (MPhil).
