What would it mean for there to be a land border between Scotland and England? With the SNP in the process of outlining their new vision for an independent Scotland, this panel will bring together academics and politicians to discuss what a border might look like. Given the central role of land borders in Brexit negotiations, it is vital to explore this question long before it might ever arise. How would it be administered, and what impact would it have on North/South trade? What role would the European Union have or not have in any future border? How would it be negotiated and who would decide its functions? And lastly, how might debates over the economic border reshape the geopolitics of the British Isles?
