Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer led the German Christian Democratic Union party from late 2018 until early 2021, was Minister of Defence under Angela Merkel from 2019 to 2021 and Minister President of Saarland from 2011 and 2018. In this event, organised jointly by the Centre for Geopolitics and the German Society, we will discuss the current state of Germany with Frau Kramp-Karrenbauer. Is Germany a great power? Should it be? What are the long-term consequence of the current crises? How has Germany changed during her time in politics?

Delivered in partnership with the Cambridge University German Society.
