The Forum on Geopolitics is pleased to welcome former French Ambassador Michel Duclos for this special lecture examining France's role in both producing and guaranteeing a new Middle Eastern settlement. Ambassador Duclos served as Deputy Director of the Centre for Analysis, Planning and Strategy within the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs from1984 to 1987 and between 2000 and 2002 he served as an Ambassador to the Political and Security Committee in Brussels, and later served as the Deputy Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations. Between 2006 and 2009, Michel Duclos was Ambassador in Syria, and later Ambassador to Switzerland, from 2012 to 2014.
